pintload download guide

How to save Pinterest images and videos on iPhone

Download a public Pin in Safari, find it in Files, and move a supported image or video into Photos.

Start with Pinterest’s own save option

Open the image Pin and look for Download image in its three-dot menu. If offered, this can be quicker than copying a link. For videos, the available actions depend on the Pin and creator settings. Saving a Pin to a Pinterest board is different: it creates a bookmark inside Pinterest, not a file on your phone.

Download a file through Safari

For a public Pin you have permission to save, copy its link with Pinterest’s Share action. You can paste either a full Pin URL or a pin.it link.

  1. Open pintload in Safari and paste the link into the downloader.
  2. Choose Find downloads, then select the image or MP4 file you need.
  3. Confirm Safari’s download prompt if it appears.
  4. Open Safari’s Downloads list, or open the Files app and look in Downloads. The folder may be under iCloud Drive or On My iPhone, depending on your settings.

Move the download into Photos

Open the downloaded file in Files and tap Share. Choose Save Image or Save Video if the action appears. The file should then be available in Photos. If you only see a preview in Safari, use the share menu or return to the file in Downloads.

If Save Video is missing, confirm that the file is a playable MP4 rather than a web page or streaming playlist. A .m3u8 link is not a complete MP4 file. pintload does not convert streaming-only videos.

If nothing appears to happen

Check the Downloads list before trying again; the file may already have saved. Make sure the phone has free storage. If the link came from an in-app browser, opening the tool in Safari can make the browser’s save controls easier to find.

If the downloader cannot find a file, open the Pin in Pinterest to confirm it still exists. A private or login-restricted Pin cannot be made public by pasting its link. Do not share your login details with a downloader.
